so im just curious i keep seeing stuff to eat post workout is it necessary to eat after work outs

It is not required...
But if you workout (and I mean lift heavy) this is the optimal time to put protein and other fuel to use for building and recovery, perhaps starting within 30 minutes after the workout..

Bro-science. There is no scientific evidence supporting timing of meals.
On the other hand as a scientist there is considerable lacking of what science can answer. Personally I just feel better drinking a protein shake after a good workout. Wouldn't call it necessary, but don't think its harmful.
Honestly broscience is nothing more than adhering to a routine. Doesn't really matter what the routine is as long as people stick to it.0 -
