i have lupus and R/A any recomendations on a good exercise routine for me....i will have a pool availability soon but what else can i do that wont hurt the joints?

I too have SLE. Started with simple water aerobics then added deep water aerobics and "fining." All of these are low impact, Once the strength was up and the joint pain down then you can look at additional strength training and cardio. Elliptical mgeachines and stationary bike are less impact than treadmills. Within a few months I was ready for some high impact exercise and am loving it. Can't dance a lick but am in love with Zumba now too :happy:0

Im in the same boat. I have to really watch what I do when exercising. Right now I mainly just to the treadmill. I plan to add some strength training soon.0

thank you so much....i am gonna start with the pool and walking, i did 30 minutes today of just walking, it started to hurt but i pushed myself...steroids dont help either0
