Here's the thing, I LOVE to workout! I had my baby 1 month ago, and am desperate to get back to it! The problem is that I push too hard every time I go to the gym, inevitably pushing back my recovery. Anyone been here and dinner that that can give some helpful insight?

First of all, you need to be cleared by your doctor, which likely won't happen until at least 6 weeks post partum, longer if you had a complicated delivery or c-section. You need to be checked for diasastis recti (abdominal wall separation). If your abdominals have separated and you do ab exercises, you can cause further damage and put your self in danger of a hernia.
Don't rushLet your body recover before putting it through any more.

i started 17 days after giving birth..i did not jump as i was still recovering but i needed to move.
it was kind of boring not to jump, but i had to start slow doing t25.
See what your doctor says, I had a nurse telling me i can do arms and squats for sure as far as training...
Be careful with doing abs workout too soon as training your abs if there is a gap between your abdominal muscles caused by pregnancy might make some damage!!
so you basically have to wait and ensure the gap is no longer there.
i read a lot about when i could start and as every sources i was reading provided different information i decided to just start and take it slow.0 -
I agree you should get a check up first. Secondly, listen to your body. here's my own example, I have to be very careful with ab workouts because sometimes I get very painful cramp in my upper abs..
