Anyone else out there struggling to balance a healthy diet and a student lifestyle? I'm a student nurse so have loads of essays and placement and normally I'm too tired to do much more than put something in the microwave! I've been told by my respiratory consultant that I can't change medications until I can prove it's not weight related basically so here I go again. Hoping for a stone off by my next appointment

Whilst I was at university I struggled to keep weight off during the first two months, however it should start settling down at that point. Simple suggestion would be to create yourself a meal plan for the day and times of when you can eat. This is easy to monitor and just get an idea of how many calories are in the meals you eat. As i'm fully aware that nursing is a busy course and it is convienient to cook a meal in the microwave, then as previously said, count your calories. If you drink during the week to why not try keep it to one night per week? or if thats a no no then just don't binge on the drinks.0

Yes, yes, yes! I notice over the summer that I lose the weight since I have more time to work out and make my own meals. The last few semesters I took 19 credits and this semester I start a Masters Program. However, once school starts up there are days where I feel like "do I really want to make dinner or do I want to knock this paper out and get more sleep tonight?" It helped when I made my lunches earlier in the week and brought them with me, but I always stumble around dinner time. Plus my work out days went from 6 days a week to maybe 2-3 if I was lucky. I know I can lose weight over the summer, but want to try to and keep it off this next semester...got to love it. Add me if you would like!0

Hello! Sounds like you are super busy! I am going back to college this summer for a few design classes, so I don't expect it to mess with my eating habits. I plan to eat meals around my schedule. Lunch before I leave and dinner when I get back, maybe with a snack in between if needed.0
