As anyone else lost weight while taking the medicine Abilify? It seems impossible. help!

Hi! I have gained 10 pounds while taking Abilify because I am so hungry and have no self-control. Does anyone else take this medicine and has had success in losing weight....despite. Please say yes!!!! :) Jess

    that's a sleep med for bipolar these type of meds make you hungry. If you have trouble sleeping try unisom or bendril. I was on mitazapine for sleeping for 10 years and gained over 200 pounds trust me I know.

    Abilify is not just a sleeping pill, it's an antipsychotic. It's used for lots of things other than sleep, and if you're using it for one of those things, Benadryl isn't going to cut it. Talk to your doctor - Abilify and other antipsychotics have known metabolic side effects and many, many folks find themselves gaining weight on it despite their best efforts.
