So I'm doing IF and my eating window is from 12-8. Does that mean I can't eat past 8 pm or 9 pm?

i would strive for a 6 or even 4 hour eating window. 8 hours is big...you will see more results from smaller window.

Basically, if your daily schedule is normal, just make sure you skip breakfast, and don' t eat late at night. Feel free to see how my food diary is set up as to setting timing windows as the names for your MFP meals. Also, search in groups, there is an IF group. I like being able to eat bigger meals!

as long as there is a roughly 16 hour fasting period then you're fine. Why are you sweating so much over 10 minutes??

Remember that there is nothing magical that happens during a fast, there isn't a little hormone fairy that sits inside your body with a stopwatch and won't release the magical fat-burning hormones until exactly 16 hours has passed.

If you're 10 or 15 minutes longer or shorter it won't matter in the slightest! Your overall caloric intake is still the most important factor in fat loss, remember that.

I do 16:8IF and I break my daily fast at 11am and I'm done consuming calories at 7pm, with the exception of the weekends when I have a couple of beers in the evening :)

Why not just eat like a normal person? Also, I read an article the other day about IF and women. It's apparently all right for men, but it can have negative effects for women.

Pick your eight hours, any eight hours that you want to eat. Fast the rest of the time. Or don't. As long as you don't go over your recommended caloric consumption, it doesn't matter. IF does, however, seem to make it easier.

Don't over complicate things. If you want to fast for 16 hours and it turns out to be 15 and a half, 15 or 15 and 50 minutes it's not going to make a difference. Just eat when you want.

There's that guy with the cute dog again, sigh . . .
