Ok... So I have a gym membership and I was doing good for a while, I was doing 65 minutes of cardio and using the machines but recently I've stopped going and can't get the motivation to go back again. Any tips?

I started a program motivated by the hope to be more attractive to a man I was talking with online. Now he has dumped me, but I've still lost 52 pounds. I never even got to meet him! Even though I feel heartbroken, I've kept on going to my gym everyday, doing 60 minutes of high intensity intervals. I'm sticking faithfully to the Atkins Protein diet. For once I am determined to do this for myself! And I will not dump myself!! I have 30 pounds left to lose and I am not going to let myself down. I always feel so much better about myself when I am at a certain weight, and I deserve to feel that way again. I have been sad and lonely for WAY TOO LONG !
I hope you find your motivation. If you want it, you can do it!

I need to realize that I'm doing this for myself and for myself only. Yeah its nice when people notice but I'm the one feeling the change and seeing it everyday. I know that once I get to my goal weight that I will be so much happier. Thank you

Motivation isn't sustainable. It's a pep rally designed to get you excited for a day or two. In order to have long term results you'll need to develop habits and tap into self discipline. You can develop habits in 4 - 6 weeks. Make a commitment to exercise on a regular basis and stay on plan. Once you get past the start up it becomes a routine. Self discipline can keep you going even when you're not feeling up to the task.
