What helps you with your muscle soreness when you get it?

I failed to warm up today and pushed myself harder than my norm. Now my neck has cramped up badly and I have pain in my arms :/

Magnesium can sometimes help...in other words an Epsom Salt bath. It really depends on what is causing the DOMS and whether it is actually injury.

Charlie, thanks for your reply but I'm new around here and getting old ;) What does SMR mean please?

Corlissa, thank you. I have magnesium tablets in the cupboard, I'll take one. I don't have any Epsom salts just ordinary bath salts. I don't think it is an injury as such as it just feels very tight around my neck and shoulder. The only pain is going down my arms which I suspect is a little swelling to the nerve.

Water, Stretching, Light movement, and an anti-inflammatory (NSAID) painkiller ... If its not an injury.
