Hi! I'm 20 years old. I'm a full time college student, work 30 hours a week, have a husband and a 3 year old step daughter! I recently had a miscarriage and it's been really hard for me to want to get up and do anything at all. I used to be a very happy and social person. Lately since the miscarriage, I've been on-edge, depressed, and I just go through the day with a blank stare on my face. I joined because I would like to lose weight (or just stop gaining) and because I think working out could be some sort of an outlet to boost me out of my depression to get me back to my old happy self. I have a busy schedule but maybe if I see other stories. I've been a heavy person since middle school when one of my friends passed away. I say I'm okay with it, but I've always been self conscious and just need help. I have a planet fitness membership but I don't have time after work or school. I downloaded another app called SWORKIT and it's nice but I still need help. Not sure what kind of help, but anything to inspire is always welcome!
Thanks for reading! Have a great day!

You know Im quite a bit older than you and I have never suffered a miscarriage but I have struggled with depression throughout my life. I work 40 to 60 hours a week and my kids are older. I work early in the morning so I go to the gym in the evening. Even if its just an 45 min to an hour a few days a week at least that is something. Do you belong to a gym? Being that you have a 3 year old step daughter maybe look for a gym that has a daycare. Or if you cant do a gym maybe put your step daughter in an exercise stroller and walk. A lot of people get bored doing the dame routine at the gym when they are on a tread mill or bike. Me, I put on Netflix and watch my fave show. Its 45 min long so I am doing cardio for that long of a time frame. If that is to much for you then try to do at least 30. If you walk the neighborhood go in one direction for 15 minutes then turn around. Boom you have 30 min of cardio. Of course I want to be thinner but knowing that I worked out for the day It just makes your spirit feel better. Over the years I learned to love myself more and finally said to myself if others don't like what I look like.. "oh well". Hope that helps. :)

Hello kjdaniel!!! Welcome and I'm truly sorry for your loss, and commend you, you're still seeking ways to live a full life; I'm sure each person needs their time and way to mourn, so I won't claim any expertise in that...but I'm 40(geeze still can't get used to using that number

Thank yall so much. When I found out I was pregnant, I put my stepdaughter in the stroller and we walked 2 laps around out trailer park each day. But our trailer park is not the best. We just bought a piece of land but it needs work so we're stuck in our trailer park for a little longer. I drive 45 minutes to work everyday and 30 minutes to school. We live out of town so the gym is about 30 minutes from my house and school and even further from work. We're on a tight budget because of the new land and school and everything else so all I can really afford is that particular gym right now. It's an all around cruddy situation and our house isn't big enough for work out equipment. So I just feel stuck. I don't know if exercises at the house in the living room will actually work but maybe it's better than nothing. I like to push myself but I've been so tired and out of everything lately that I just feel like sitting down and doing nothing. I've quickly realized how weak I've gotten. Lol.

Thank yall so much again. It feels nice to have somebody take time to read and reply. :)

So sorry for your loss. Maybe try running(or run/walking) around your neighborhood. There are plenty of ways to excersise outside a gym. In fact, if money is tight, I would cancel the membership all together. I am starting a new weight loss journey as well, so if you want to be friends, we can keep each other motivated! I am also 20.

Your tired because of not getting that exercise time in. I used to work out at home too. I did Leslie Sansone's waking dvd's. They are fairly cheap if you look at walmart (im not sure what stores are near you) and they also have them on Amazon. They come in 1 to five mile increments that I have seen. and it is literally walking in place with a little bit of other things. I lost 30 pounds a few years back just doing that alone. Try looking at Pinterest too. There are tons of at home fitness tips too.

I guarantee if you even try to fit in 30 min of exercise each night right before you go to bed or right after you wake up in the morning your energy level will definitely improve. You just have to have the mind set of wanting to do it. Believe me I try to talk myself out of going to to gym each time I go but I know how ill feel if I don't go.
