how many calries i need a day

Someone can help me? I am trying to find out how many calories i should eat to loose weight as quick as possible but healthy.there are different sites and huge difference in results. Ie 1600 or 3100....
i am 227 pound, 5 feet 5 40 years old female.

I do exersize now almost every day. For about 25 min. I just started. Also i am working on my feet all day so i would think moderate.0

Check out this website. The first thing to do is to find out how many calories you need to maintain your weight. Then you should reduce your caloric intake by 500 per day to lose weight at a safe and moderate pace. This was the recommendation by my dietician and it's working for me. I'm also not starving myself.
For you, it shows that you need 2607 calories each day to maintain your weight. If you reduce that by 500 and start with 2100 per day, then readjust with the calculator as you lose weight. Hope that helps Good luck!!0 -

How quick do you mean? I'm losing about 2 lbs a month, which isn't quick to some people but I'm in this for a sustainable lifestyle change not to just look good for the summer.
Anyway, as long as you're eating less than you burn and are super accurate with weighing/measuring your food (which most people think they are but really aren't) you'll lose. These stickies really helped me when I first started trying to lose weight:

I need to loose about 60 pound all in all. So i am hoping for 1-2 pounds/week.0
