I bought my battery on the local supermarket. I took the old one with me to make sure I got the right one. It's just a watch battery I think.

Hi I have the same monitor. I've replaced both the watch and transmitter batteries myself no problem. whatever the code was on the battery I just searched for on amazon and got it for a couple of pounds. I think they say to get manufacturer to do it to make it hundred percent water tight again for swimming, but I've got mine wet after doing myself with no problems. If you don't use it in water go ahead and do yourself. hope this helps.

I get my batteries from a watch repair shop. They're easily available. Polar doesn't replace them.

What.. that's not true. You can get the battery from any place that cells the circular batteries. Just look for the code on the battery.. might be CR2032 or CR2025 but double check. Just make sure you tighten the battery cover properly once you put the new battery in.

It's a CR1632. I know that because I replaced mine today! At least the one in the watch unit itself. If you're replacing the battery in the transmitter (attached to your chest strap) then it's the 2025. Both should be readily available at Best Buy or on Amazon.

Yep I had a hard time finding a replacement and found one at The Source here in Canada.
