ok i am so frustrated i just needed to vent a little...
why am i not losing weight.......... in feel so impatient i know im doing ok and if i keep eating healthy and exercising then the weight will come off but i started at 259 lost 8lbs really easiely in the first 2 weeks then stayed the same for 2 weeks finaly shifted 3lbs to get to 248 on friday today im back up to 252... im on day 17 of jillian michaels 30 day shred and i can see a difference in my arms and legs and a little in my belly my clothes are fitting better and in the last few days ive said goodbye to all my size 22 trousers so thats really good and im trying to see the bigger picture but i cant help but think it's just not working weight wise.... i started eating 1580 cals a day, but after a while i found myself trying to beat yesterdays score?!? and ended up eating just over 1200 then i started the shred andkept my cals net at 1200 so i did eat the cals back....this didnt work so i have uped my cals so im neting between 1400 -1550 and now im back up to 252. i know if i was in a good mood and feeling positve i would be happy that i feel alot better and fitter and leanerish but im not... i feel like staying shove it it doesn't work which is what ive done in the past and given up... i dont want to give up i just want to lose some weight and keep it off i just want to step on the scale each week and see a steady loss but nooo it has to be so much more complicated than that.
on a positive note i have never ate vegtables in my life up until i started on mfp now im eating salads in my sandwhichs and mixing up all kinds of stuff in my salad with my tea and i haven't drunk pepsi in over 3 weeks which was a daily thing for me before... i know what im doing can not be bad so i guess ill just keep ploding...it just seems like a life time a way when i will weigh less i thought as i have so much to lose it would come off easier that this...
i'm finished now and feel a little better for it i promise im not normally a negitve and mishrable person it's just so hard when your heads not 100% in the game...

Do NOT weigh yourself every day - you could be bloated. Try to stick to once a week. Stick to your recommended NET by MFP, don't mess with it, it's recommended for your weight. All the up and downs you've been doing will be confusing your body, and if you've lowered yourself to 1200 when your body needs 1500, then you'll enter starvation mode and your body won't want to let go of the fat.

    Hi!
There might a few reasons. Are you getting enough sleep? Are you drinking enough water? are you eating high sodium foods, that might be retaining fluid in your body making it appear that you are not loosing weight. There are a number of reasons why the numbers dont decrease. I am no expert but usually your weight fluctuates so only weigh yourself once a week when you get up in the morning in the nude, i do it on friday mornings. If you are doing everything that you can to be loosing weight and sticking to your program then you should be seeing results, even if it is just centimeters, and your overall fat % might be decreasing as well, so NUMBERS ARE NOT EVERYTHING!

Keep it up your off to a fantastic start!

My first question is, are you drinking enough water? Our muscles hold on to water to help them repair. SO if you are working out with the JM (which does help strengthen and tone muscles for sure) are you drinking enough water so your body can recover? If not, you could be retaining.
Congrats on the food choices you mentioned!
And Finally, that scale doesn't know anything about your body's composition, so relying on it to tell you the whole truth about your progress is like asking one of the three blind men to tell you about the elephant. Your weight is only one indication of your overall health, and generally it is not the most accurate, just the easiest to measure. So go easy on the scale, it's just a dumb piece of equipment, and take pride in the other factors that are working ... leaner stronger arms, stronger back and legs, clothes that are fitting loosely, etc. THOSE are NSVs if I ever heard of one!
