Hi all!
Got a new scale today that tells, weight, body fat, and water. What water number do you strive for?

Thanks in advance! :flowerforyou:

I've heard it should be around 50%.

I got one of those scales too. Mine is around 50 first thing in the morning, and drops a bit by the end of the day. Would like to see the answers posted here too.

I wouldn't worry about any readings except weight. Scales aren't terribly accurate at anything else.

My trainer said the higher the better. I think he wanted me to shoot for 50%,

Over 50 % is considered a healthy body water %.

I thought this was an interesting topic, so I googled it and this found this info. (did not verify the source, but thought it was close to what my trainer had told me)

"The total body water percentage for men should be around 55% and for women 51%. This seems like a lot, but lean muscle mass contains 75% water, body fat is 25%, bone 22% and lean muscle mass 75%. "
