Before i didnt know i had anxiety issues, i was able to wear a heart rate monitor and all with no issues. My heart rate was normal and counting the burning calories was easy.

Now that i have anxiety and all, i cant utilize my heart rate monitor because my heart rate is so not in sync and is elevated. Im on meds and well on my way to getting better but this sucks because i really want to count my calories burned.

Any tips for this

I have go no tips on the heart monitor but seriously good luck with the anxiety and getting your heart rate to slow down....lots of slow/deep breathing with help. I battled that for a long time before it got under control.

In general, HRM logging is not absolutely accurate for everyone, and unless you're weighing everything you eat and you have absolute confidence in your BMR, TDEE, and the content of your daily intake, portion control is a wildcard for almost all of us. You can still tally your calories burned from one workout to the next, it's all relative; but think twice about eating those activity colories back.

As a general rule, I rarely eat back any calories burned during a workout as I found doing so will almost always lead to frustration and disappointment in the form of stalled weight loss. If I go slightly over on any single day, it's okay because I realize my level of activity will usually offset a once in a while overage. But it 's anyone's guess how one will do with eating back exercise calories because we are all different from one another and we are working according to guidelines rather than hard and fast rules.

Sorry I don't have better advice about the heart rate monitor, but I am sorry to hear you are experiencing so much anxiety. Before I owned a HRM, I used runkeeper to track my exercise. I still do sometimes, and find it to be accurate enough.Depending on the kind of exercise you do, that might work for you too.
