Macro % - optimum for health and slower weight loss?

I have the percentages for nutrients set at the MFP default but I regularly find I am under on carbs and protein. I wondered if I should better tailor the % split? What have other people experienced from doing this?

I don't want to go too low carb because I do a lot of cardio exercise. I also lift weights a few times a week and normally do a long walk on the weekend.

I don't take the split too seriously at the moment but I'd prefer it to be a better proportion for my personal circumstances. How do you work out the best split for you?

I prefer to eat a bit more and have slower weight loss (1/2 a pound a week is fine) now that I've lost most of my weight. Is there anything else I should consider when changing it?

don't set your macros by %. Hit your protein and fat minimums (1 gram per lb lean bodymass, 0.45 grams per lb lean bodymass) and fill remaining cals with carbs (or however you want). Most important thing is you get enough protein and dietary fat.

OK thanks. I will have to work that out then as I normally weigh in kilos.
