Drizzled with EVOO or canola oil, fresh black pepper, sea salt, garlic and onion powder. Roast in oven (I do 350F for about 10min depending on the thickness of the stalk). Then nom.
I also use it in stir fries.
Spring is asparagus season, so check out your local farmer's market for the best asparagus - not the picked and sat on shelf stuff in the stores (or the icky frozen or canned ones in the middle of the stores).

Drizzle it with olive oil, I like to sprinkle mine with McCormicks Mediterianian Sea Salt. It has sea salt, garlic, basil, red pepper, and a few other herbs all mixed in. Then I put it in my grill basket and put it on the grill. I love it. I have converted all lot of people who use to say they hated asparagus and now they love it (as long as I cook it for them).0
