So I don't want to bring down the chit chat forum, but thought I would share my lovely Walmart experience with you! I'm 37 weeks pregnant, experiencing ugly braxton hicks contractions and wrestling an almost 2 year old through walmart...all while having hot flashes. I finally finish (with a cart full of healthy items!!!) and go to check out.

The cashier is a young male, probably 20-23ish. I smile and say hello as he starts ringing up my purchases. He looks at me and says "When are you due?"

I smile and say 3 weeks or less!!! He then says: "WOW, YOUR STOMACH IS HUGE. HOW MANY BABIES ARE IN THERE" I'm shocked and horrified by his comment and said just one, a boy. I should have said 10! He then says, "I'M NOT A WOMAN, BUT HOW DOES IT FEEL TO HAVE A BABY THAT BIG MOVING AROUND INSIDE YOU?" And I said, "weird I guess."

Had my 2 year old not been in the cart with me, I would have done or said unspeakable things to that jerk! Who says that to someone about their size, let alone a woman, even worse a pregnant woman.

The good news is I'm only "huge" for 3 more weeks, but it appears this dude will be an idiot forever!

Hope that brought a little chuckle to you!

Honestly, I would call the store and complain to a manager. making conversation "When are you due?" is nice and polite.. everything beyond that is uncalled for and asinine...

But if it makes you feel any better, he is a Wal-Mart cashier, lol...

Ditto! And like you said, Melly, you're only pregnant 3 more weeks, he's an idiot forever.

Thanks all! I'm not really too shook up about it, I did call my hubby and let him have a good laugh. I love pregnant women and being pregnant. My husband said I should look at the bright side, I get to come back to my beautiful new home on a golf course in the air conditioning...he's probably working a long hot shift in that stinky place!
