no freaking way. That's insane0

3 days...it was a religious thing...7 days without food really doesn't sound like a very good idea though...not to mention, completely unnecessary.0

Actually from many doctors I've heard that is actually good to clean all you system and many internal deceases are cured. I can share some link videos if you guys want to see.0
-
What exactly did these doctors say that you'll be cleaning from your system??0

You need new doctors.0

Check this video out on the benifits of fasting with water. Nothing to do with religion. http://youtu.be/O8IwWatbcRM-1

there are some benefits to fasting for a limited period of time...7 days is over the top...but rock on bro...have fun.0 -
It depends on your reason. If you're trying to lose weight fast this way, don't expect long-term results as you will gain it all back and then some as quickly as you lost it. If you're trying to get the health benefits, I would suggest only doing it for 3 days if you're really determined to. Don't go past 3 days with this because a week without food or any longer is far too long.0

Water doesn't have protein or fats which are ESSENTIAL to the body for normal healthy function. I don't mean to say that fasting for a short period of time (say 2 days) isn't doable, but 7 days is over the top. Also longer fasts jack with your hormones.

@thorsmom01 in my case I was eating really really bad stuff, lots of sugars lots! Lots of junk food, and lots of fast foods and deep fried stuff all the time. So after this 7 day fasting it will reset my entire organs and be clean of any toxins, all the bad stuff and give my interior organs a fresh start. This is why I got this app to log everything I will eat from now and know that I am putting good fuel in my body.0

Doctor Oz isn't a doctor. Your system cleans itself just fine unless you are malnourished.0

Sorry but I can't support that . But if you think that fasting cleans entire organs of toxins, then so be it. Have a blast. Just know that Dr is a quack and not a reliable source of info. But do what you feel is best for your body.
For my body, I like to eat a balanced diet, while hitting my macros . Water fasting isn't my thing!

@coraborealis80 no I don't have doctor OZ as my doctor. I there's many opinions about this subject. But many have done this apart from religious reasons, apart from Daniel and Jesus. I really believe this is helping me. I'm in my 6 day I feel good a little less energy but I really feel great! But I must confess at the 2 and third day it was hard, but like I was told once you pass that point it will all start getting back together. And it has, I'm not gonna lie it hasn't been easy. But at the end I will feel satisfy

So you're continuing to do this, even though the above post states what a fraud this so-called "doctor" is?
Wow.......
Sorry but no, can't support it. It's a terrible idea. I hope you have a *real* doctor on standby.
Also, water fasting doesn't CURE anything.0 -

All the above..
Plus your organs don't have a "reset" button...
But whatever. Your metabolism has probably already crashed so by the time you start eating again you will have a hard time losing weight Bc your body is going to hold onto every calorie it gets. You're essentially starving yourself which ANY dr will tell you screws up your metabolism.0 -
It's cute how people replace the word "starving" with "water fasting" and suddenly think it's a viable idea.0
-
Typically, religious people fast for 21 days. Although buddist religion fast is up to 72 days. But these fast are to rid yourself of earthly/bodily desires.0

This is a necro thread but I wonder if the OP even alive anymore?0

Well I suppose the closest I have come to that would be the Norovirus (not fun) or a colonoscopy (even less fun). Not sure that I would go 7 days but 3 couldn't hurt.0
