What's Active mean? Work out 4 days a week for 45 min, is that active? Mostly weightlifting and 10-15 min of cardio 4 days a week.

Active means all day so your daily job, is it physical, do you walk a lot, do you walk a dog etc.0

I think active is based on your day before exercise.
So going to the gym and lifting weights and treadmills is exercise which you enter separately.
So how active are you when your not doing a specific exercise.
Like accountants are likely sedentary with their desk job will nurses are probably active walking about for 8-10 hours.0 -
Activity settings on TDEE/BMR calculators are pretty notorious for overestimating your daily burn. Most people I know on MFP set their activity level to "sedentary". The trick, then, is to experiment with logging your exercise and eating back some, all, or none of the calories you "earn" from exercise. For example, I'd definitely eat back calories for an 8 hour hike or a 6 mile jog, but not for a 2 mile walk to work or a weightlifting routine.0

You set it based on your normal daily activities at work/home. Exercise is extra that you log afterwards.0
