Has anyone tried Miracle Noodles (Shirataki)? Is it as wonderful and healthy as the ads says it is?

Search the forums for this topic. I haven't tried them. I think it may be an aquired tastes. After reading the description I think they would be nasty. I have no desire to try it out.0

The smell funny, so you have to rinse them off super good before you cook them... then I just feel like they take on the taste of whatever you cook them with.
The reason I hated them though, was because they look the same going in one end, as they do coming out the other.... it freaked me out sooo much.0 -
I searched for them on here (past discussions) and read they don't taste like anything and not to expect them to taste like real noodles.:(0

A family friend ordered them and doesn't like them, she bought an entire case, so I will be taking them from her sometime this week, I will let you know how I like them after I get them!!
She's a fussy eater, so I dont take her opinion about food to strongly0 -
I have a box of them you could buy from me! lol
All over the internet it says how wonderful they are BUT Everyone I have actually talked to said they were gross. Wish I would've talked to them before I wasted my money on them.
On the other hand, the frst time I had them ina chicken soup, they were ok. And I saw a recipe for some sort of apple noodle bake that looked ok. I thought I'd try it so I wouldn't at least feel I had completely wasted my money.
If I were you, I would buy the sample pack--don't buy the "best seller" pack right off the bat like I did--just in case.0 -
I bought them once...it takes willpower to eat them lol. They are rubber bandlike...and only tolerable if well seasoned. I never used the second pack I bought...but anything is worth trying once as long as it won't kill you. They're not too expensive so..0

This is sooo funny! Sounds like I could use them for mulch in my gardens! Ha ha!0 -
they have no taste and the tofu ones have a fishy smell to them. The texture is rubber band like and i couldnt stand it. My mother loves them however.0
