I just started using the app again yesterday. Today when I entered a verified "banana" it took me a few tries to find one that didn't have "0mg" of potassium. Makes me a little leary of the food I'm entering and the accuracy.

I just read on another post that when you search for fresh fruits enter "USDA" in your search for more accurate search results.

The best thing to do with produce and meats is to look for the entry that comes straight from MFP rather than users. If you see this (*) in front, it's a user-created entry and could have errors. Without the asterisk, then it's from MFP.

Unfortunately, MFP's entry for bananas has gone AWOL, so the best thing to do right now is compare the entry selected to the USDA's nutritional information.

It is good, esp in the beginning, to verify the foods you will be eating. Potassium is off a lot because it is not required in US labels. I ignore potassium.
