I'm 5'3 nd my doctor said someone my height should be 130 and I'm obese because I'm that +67 and I'm eating healthy but I can't fully give up the food i like "junk food" but I manage to stay under my calorie goal and less sugar as I should so is it ok to have a bag of chips or a cookie every now and then? ???

Many of us never gave up anything. I did give up fast food, but that was partly for reasons involving food quality and salary of the workers. Otherwise, I lost all my weight just fine and still managed to work in all of my favorite foods. Just focus on nutrition but make sure to include items that meet your emotional needs. Log accurately.0

If you want them, fit them into your calorie goal.
I have ice cream practically every night. Hasn't stopped me one bit from losing almost 60 lbs.0 -
I am 5'3 and started out at 201 lbs. I lost 65 lbs eating pretty much the same foods I've always eaten, only smaller portions. I have kept it off over a year. (I did find lower calorie versions of some favorites that I substitute, but only if they taste good!)
You can do this!0 -
Eat anything you want, as long as it fits within your limits. My suggestion is to log your dessert in advance. Then you can manage the rest.0

I've lost almost 100 lbs and I eat cookies and ice cream regularly. Chocolate is a daily thing, sometimes several times a day-thing. I'm not big on chips, but I do enjoy cheese poofs (like Cheeto's poofs, Pirate Booty, whatever those are called) every now and then and I feel like I get more volume for the calories than I would with chips.
I just don't go totally nuts and make these things the entirety of my diet. Wouldn't want to anyway, I'd greatly miss all of the other stuff in my diet that is generally considered nutritious.0 -

Lets keep one thing in mind. When you say bag of chips do you mean one of those little single serving bags or do you mean a whole big bag. Because a small single serve bag is only 150 calories but if you get a big bag (12 servings) and down the whole thing that is 1800 calories.
Of course you can have your chips and cookies. But you still need to be attentive to just how many of them you are eating. A serving of dippin dots is only 190 calories per half cup serving. Just plan for it and enjoy.0 -
Of course! I have cut nothing out completely. I eat everything, just within reason.0

I think you probably know yourself if you are carrying too much weight or not. The doctors' guides can be ok but they don't really take into account bodyshape and how much fat and muscle you naturally carry. Personally I'm petite by nature (5'2" and with very little natural muscle and no booty). Before weight training I was 100lbs and now I'm 120lbs. If I add 20lbs its straight on my stomach, looks bad, more importantly feels wrong. I have several friends who are my height and up to 200lbs and they have curvy, bootalicious figures and one of them is a regular runner and weightlifter. She would never be my size, she has broad shoulders, broad hips, is much stronger than I am and she can easily carry an extra 50% of my weight and look and feel awesome. If I was her weight I'd be spherical.0
