Time to get my weight down. I'm a mom and wife who has been in good health until I turned 40. Then my body decided to start rebelling. I've had emergency gall bladder surgery in 2011. Started eating healthier then. This year my doctor told me my cholesterol is high. So now I'm working towards loosing 10% of my total weight. So far I've lost 8 pounds. Nineteen to go and then the doctor might take me off the statin.

    Good for you!

And that's almost a third of the weight you're looking to lose, so I'm sure you'll get there soon.

I go back to the doctor in September. The doctor referred me to a dietitian who I saw on Wednesday. The dietitian gave me some really good ideas and help in meeting that goal.

What kind of ideas did your dietitian give you?

Eating more fish like salmon and tuna plus Chia and flax seeds. The fish is high in Omega3s and the Chia and flax seeds make a gel like substance to help suck up bad cholesterol.
