I'm currently trying to stick to 1,200 calories a day but whenever I stick to it I feel faint and sick. I then end up binge eating until I feel better. Is this because my calories is too low or am I not eating the right foods?

There's no real way for anyone else to say for sure. Type of food and overall amounts can have the results you describe.

Your diary doesn't appear to be open so no one can give any sort of advice there. Additionally, your activity level would be a factor for a more specific conversation.

Generally speaking, based purely on what you've said with no other information, I'd suggest eating a little more. 1200 calories isn't much, especially if you're active. I400 or 1500 might be more reasonable.

I have tried doing that,my glucose level would drop badly and couldn't move a muscle. It made it impossible for me to workout. Those calories are way to less.I'm taking 1600-1700 cal even though I'm suppose to take 1830 cal.I'm on 5:2 diet and working out thrice a week.

I had to move up from 1,200 because I was experiencing the same thing. I'm at 1,340 now and I feel much better!

Sounds like it could be blood sugar or nutritional deficiency. I personally take a multivitamin, iron, and a calcium/d/magnesium supplement (calcium/d/magnesium supplement separate from iron, they interfere with one another for absorption). Many people are deficient in magnesium and do not know it, and it can contribute to fatigue issues.

I'll also add: had issues with dizziness specifically until I started taking magnesium.

You're 21 and only have 12lbs left to goal per your profile. Odds are 1200 calories is too aggressive. Is it 1200 gross or net? Also, what are your stats? Ht/Wt/ how much you work out? From there we could get a better idea of what your needs are/

    Correction: 1,420. I don't know why I keep thinking it's 1,340. I'm 5'8 for reference.

MFP is quite notorious for setting calorie goals FAR too low, regardless of height and weight. For example, it told me to eat 1200, and my BMR (the bare amount of calories I need to LIVE) is 1280. And I am extremely tiny, only 4’11 ½.
So unless you are smaller than me, or bedridden, it is almost a CERTAINTY that you are eating too little. (This can result in lean muscle loss, chronic fatigue, metabolism damage, and bingeing due to over-restriction.)

    Go to

    http://iifym.com/tdee-calculator/

    and enter your height/weight/activity level.

Subtract 10-20% from the number it calculates for you, and that is the number of calories you should be eating a day in order to lose weight. With this method you do not eat back your exercise calories, as they are already figured into your daily goal.
