lifting problems!

Hello everyone! I have a massive problem with lifting basically I have decided to really get into it and I am really straight on doing this, I know a lot about it and what I should eat and shouldn't eat, how to lift safely what to lift etc my problem is my job. I work nights and work very hard at work as I have a family to provide for. However it is basically like a 6-7 hour cardio workout (sometimes 8 or 9 hours) there is a lot of very fast paced walking and there is no stopping unless for work breaks etc but when I get home I'm often to tired to do anything! Let alone a work out, also I'm worried my body might still think it is in cardio mode, any advice would be helpful :)

    1) Turn up

    2) Lift stuff

    3) Get stronger.

Don't think I've left anything out there....

    4) Make sure you eat enough (should take care of that active job and overall recovery).

See everything can be improved upon!

I work 9-10 hours a day at a very active job too. Coffee before the gym helps :)

As they said already, make sure you get proper nutrition. Have you tried a preworkout? I really feel like my amino acids and preworkout give me a boost and help me recover faster. Often though, I may not feel like going but I show up and a few min into my training I wouldn't want to be anywhere else. You've got this!

Yep, you're just going to have to get your kit on and go do it. Perhaps you could go early before work? Drink coffee? Look into pre-workout? Either way, you've just got to get on and do it. The only advice I can offer is don't sit down between work and gym time. If you're going to the gym go straight from work. Once you sit down you wont want to get up again. Habits are formed by doing the thing you want to do often enough. If you want to train 3 times a week make sure its in your diary like any other important event. Only you can make the time.
