New to MFP! Yo-yo dieter, want to feel confident again

I'm 18, in the midst of exam period and to add to the stress I can't go an hour in the day without thinking of my body, and food - I'm fed up and want to feel confident so the worry stops taking over my life! I'm an emotion eater which makes dieting a constant stop/start process, I make progress then instantly lose it.
In need of motivation to lose weight and keep it off for good! I also need to not let emotion affect my eating habits.
I'm sure a lot of you have similar problems so moral support is always good!

    Hey there!
    Stress and emotional eating have been my problems as well. I have found that talking with people on their own fitness journeys have kept me encouraged to keep at healthy lifestyle choices. I've been at it now for about a month and lost 14 pounds. We can do this!

    Yeah it is actually helpful knowing so many others are in similar positions! It's hard to stay motivated when you're always around people who can eat anything haha, 14 pounds is a lot sounds like you're on a role :) hopefully I can lose quite a lot before July!
