Needed some motivation to get back on track

I've been trying to eat all my feelings in ice cream lately.
So in the spirit of reminding myself what I'm doing and that it has overall been very effective over the last 4 years, here's 40# (235 to 195).
Whaddya know... long term lifestyle change works, even if we go through periods of bad days, weeks, or even months.
It's nice to be a size L instead of XL... unless of course this new dress was vanity sized.
Twenty more pounds will put me in the "normal" BMI range for my height. I know I will get there. Most things in life for me are about the journey more than the destination... but man it will be nice to get into that slinky black dress again!

Thanks so much meyerliz.
In my mind I still look more like the picture on the left. It's nice to have confirmation that I am, in fact, making progress. Even when it doesn't feel like it.0 -
LOL vanity sized does not explain how great your arms look! And, I can relate to how nice it is to fit in a large! They make regular cute clothes in size large! I love your dedication....and recommend putting the ice cream and spoon down and looking at why you are doing that. Maybe you can meet a close friend over coffee and discuss what is going on? That usually feels better than ice cream to me.0

good job! I am in the same boat I have lost 25-30 and now have to get back on it and want to loose 20 more as well! I started at 220 and now am about 193 lowest I got was 189 but with end of school have fluctuated. We can do this feel free to add me as a friend and we can keep each other going!!!! Best of luck0

heh... kelly, thanks for noticing the arms. They definitely are smaller. When I get back to circuit training, they will also slowly get more toned, too. That happened last summer, then I lost it all over the winter. Hopefully it will come back faster this time.
sjbctal, thanks for the encouragement. Sending a friend request.0
