I've tried it and didn't notice any beneficial results. I have heard of others using it and having it help make them feel more full and satisfied since it is basically fiber and takes up room in the digestive tract. What are you wanting to use it for?

I'm just recently giving this a try myself. Part of my overeating is my plain love for food. I love it. I want to eat all the foods. LOL. I'm hoping this helps eating less be a little easier on me. Plus at work (I'm a medical assistant so i work in a hospital) I can't snack easily so I get to my lunch break and all I want to do is EAAATTTT. I'm thinking this will help me eat less lunch which tends to be my most calorie heavy meal of the day.

You have to be careful using it with oral medications though. Either take take them 1 hr prior or 4 hrs after ingesting whatever form of glucomannan you try. I'm going to have to change the time of day I do my birth control pills for this reason :) heh.

I took two capsules 30 mins before dinner last night with two tall glasses of water and definitely ate less than usual. Just did the same with only one capsule before my breakfast. Even though I JUST started I do like how it makes me feel fuller. Part of my overeating is my plain love for food. I love it. I want to eat all the foods. LOL. I'm hoping this helps eating less be a little easier on me. The other part is I'm hungry ALL THE TIME practically and I'm very sensitive to low blood sugar.

Anyways, yeah, giving it a try myself. Not as a "weight loss" supplement but more as an appetite aid I suppose? I just need eating less to be a tad less miserable.

If you are always hungry, eat more nutrient dense foods: add big servings of low calorie vegetables like squash, zucchini, cucumbers, asparagus, kale, romaine, Brussels sprouts, mushrooms, green beans, snow peas, eggplant, winter squash, broccoli, cauliflower, mushrooms. Eat them fresh, canned, or frozen. They add protein and fiber to your day as well.

I'm starting glucomannan capsules today. For the past few weeks I've been constantly hungry! I'm hoping they'll help fill me up more!
    Fingers crossed :D

Just a wee update. I started the glucomannan on Thursday, only took one dose, and I didn't really notice a big difference.
But yesterday, Friday. I took 2 capsules before lunch, then 2 more before dinner and wow! I haven't felt that full feeling for a long time!

I prelog my days, so yesterday I had planned for a choc fudge dessert and my usual chocolate fibre drink, but I just couldn't fit them in as I felt so full. Knocking back chocolate fudge is almost unheard of for me :D And I look forward to that drink every night.

Sorry to sound like an infomercial. But as usual, I was sceptical about these types of supplements. But maybe, just maybe this stuff does what it claims...
We shall see if the effects continue, or will eventually wear off...
