Weight battles- Binge/restrict cycles

Hello,

I'm 5ft 9 inches and a law student in my third year of college. I was overweight at 180 lbs in high school, but after my first year of college, was borderline anorexic and dropped the weight to my lowest of 100 lbs with restrictive eating and compulsive exercising. This continued until Christmas last year. Being aware of the detriment that my body was going through, I got back into eating, but have been in a binge/restrict cycle since then. I'd say I've been eating about 2500-2800 kcals a day from November onwards, but would alternate between days of low consumption, but then when I get back into regular eating, I get into nonstop binge mode. A serious issue, I was averaging 2500-3100 kcals from January to April, and my weight went up to 123.5lbs.

In May, I got it back down eating about 1700 kcals a day from 123.5 to 120.6 lbs.

Well yesterday, May 31st in the morning, I weighed in at 120.6lbs. However, in the evening and going into this morning, June 1st, I've been binging on so much sugar and carbs....

Yesterday morning, I was 120.6lbs, but today evening, I am currently at 128 after one day. I really want my ideal weight of 115lbs. However is it possible to gain up to 8 lbs after 1-2 days of binging? How do I make up for it?

Please help. I want to reach my goal weight of 115.

I say this gently. Your eating patterns suggest that you may still be disordered with your eating. 115lbs at your height is very low. It is impossible to have gained 8 lbs (or body fat or muscle) in one day.

I read through this several times and I could not keep up with the up and down eating, and up and down again.. over and over..

My first thought and third thought is you have a very unhealthy relationship with food and your weight..

As i continue to read again, an internet forum is not going to help you.. You need to seek a doctor and/or therapist help and advice..

even if you get to this "magic" number you will still have unhealthy issues with food and your weight... sorry to be blunt..

Two threads started by the OP today ... only one answer makes sense ... SEEK SPECIALIZED PROFESSIONAL HELP!!!

You are underweight now, your goal weight is even lower, you admit to disordered eating, you freak out about gaining to a dangerously low weight ... tons of red flags in your threads that scream a need for help.

First things first you need to calm down, you seem to be obsessing too much about it.
Secondly, everyone is heavier in the evening then they are in the morning, its water weight/glycogen levels.
Thirdly, you said you went up to 123lbs like it was a bad thing. At 5 foot 9 that is still on the light side. Your aim should be to be as heavy as possible at a bf% you are happy with, not aiming to achieve poverty weight status. Personally it seems you have been hopping about goals and weight so frequently that if I was use, I would find out my TDEE and stick to that for a few months. Give you a chance to settle, get into the rhythm of consistency and develop a healthier eating pattern.

fentonferguson - I'm not optimistic about the ability of this forum to give you the advice you need to gain a healthy relationship with food. Have you checked out the counseling services at your school?
