Hi there! I am a 37 year old and am in the absolute worse shape of my life, but i have come a long way from where I used to be.
My entire life I have been obsessed with my weight. I was always at pretty good weight but always thought I was "fat". Until 3 years ago when I went through a hormone imbalance so bad I was diagnosed as bipolar. I was put on so many different meds that I lost track, and one of the pills I was taking actually caused muscle ridgity, which in turn made me gain 40 pounds in 3 months. Oh, but that was just the start. After feeling like I was completely insane for almost a year, I quit all the medication I was on and went to see a naturopath, who I might add saved my life. Once I was starting to feel better I quit smoking.... Bring on another 30 pounds lol and then I got a sit down job.... Needless to say I gained another 20 pounds or so and I feel like complete crap. NOW I know what "fat" is. But I have to say, that even though I am obese I feel absolutely, positively wonderful about myself. I just need to get back into shape. I continuously have a pinched sciatic nerve and I even have a hard time doing yoga, which is something I loved! So that being said, I'm here to slowly get myself back and to have my body feel as good as my mind. I'm actually excited about this, which is good because I know I'll succeed. Baby steps is all its going to take.
