calorie deficit

Myfitnesspal doesn't adjust for strength training. The calories are only deducted for cardio?

    Search for strength training/weightlifting under cardio to log burns, but be mindful that it's going to be quite overestimated depending on your routine/amount lifted/etc.

    I wouldn't even bother trying to count strength training calories. It's too hard to estimate them accurately. Just consider them bonus points and don't worry about it. It's much easier to control your calorie deficit through your food intake.

    That's probably the best advice. Control your deficit in the kitchen. That is where true weight loss occurs anyways.
