I've just bought a new scale because that weighs your muscle mass bone density water etc,
I'm 8 stone 8 which I'm fine about
But in the last couple of days my scale has told me my body fat is 28 percent and now today it's 30 percent

The body fat percentage readings in those are very inaccurate.

    Sorry to say...

But you've wasted your money. Those scales are really inaccurate, they don't compensate for your hydration levels (which affects your body fat percentage). The percentage can jump around from day to day.

Thanks I kind of thought it was a bit all over the place ...actually found it demotivating to find out my body fat is that high ,think I'll just stick with my normal ones

If your profile picture is a recent photo you are nowhere near 30% body fat.

You look around the early 20 mark at the highest.

Thanks for that alyhuggan I can now see it and put it into perspective :) I had a total panic when I saw that number come up and was worried I was carrying far too much fat !! ..I'm the exact same weight in that picture so I don't feel to bad now
