Hi, I've tried inputting my daily squats and lunges in the strength training bit, but I want to know how many calories I've burned. Unfortunately squats and lunges aren't available as options in cardio. Does anyone know how many calories per minute or per ten you approximately burn so I can create a new exercise?? Thanks in advance :)

    METs x 3.5 x weight in kilograms ÷ 200) x duration in minutes = calories burned.

METs is Metabolic Equivalent unit and basically represent intensity level. So if you're banging out squats quickly like HIIT quickly then you're working at about 8. If you're doing them slow say 100 over 8-10 minutes then obviously intensity level is a lot less.

    Hope that helps!

Just log the duration of the whole workout (under the cardio section of the diary) as strength training.

Fitness trackers like Fitbit are not accurate for counting the amount of calories burned while strength training.

My fitbit has no idea that I lift weights, considering how few steps are involved, and doesn't credit me anything for a strength workout.
