How do I make friend request to the other fitbit users? I see a thread with people giving a user ID but I don't know mine or how to add anyone from mfp

To find your public URL, log in at Fitbit.com & click your profile pic at top right.
To add someone, click their public URL (make sure you're logged in), then click the "+Add" link at top left. I'm https://www.fitbit.com/user/278TJW0 -
