I'm trying to lose some lbs. and I have been wondering.
My daily calorie limit is 1,700.
If I eat all of those but don't go over is that equal to or better than working out and getting an extra 500 and eating those also?
1,700 with no workout
Or
2,200 with 500 burned calorie work out.

Weight loss wise, there's no difference (assuming accurate calorie count on the exercise and with what you're eating.) Fitness-wise, I prefer the latter.
It's not too easy to get to 500 calories burned via exercise though.0 -
Weightloss is 80% diet, 20% exercise.
Do with that information what you will.
Also, dont feel like you HAVE to eat back those calories.0 -
On average I end the day with 300-500 calories left over. I was just wondering how the system worked

I stay within a 1000 calorie deficit to lose 2 pounds a week. Meaning, if I burn 3200 calories (according to my Fitbit Charge HR), then I will allow myself up to 2200 calories. I rarely eat them all, but that's my goal.0

Exercise is always better for you, even if you don't lose weight as a result of it.0
