Kid-friendly exercises?

Options
I'm trying to lose a little bit of weight and get fit, and my little brother loves doing whatever I do. We go for walks, play soccer and play at the park but that's all I can think of that is kid-friendly. Are there any fun exercises a 5-year-old could do?

Most kids are very active, far more so then adults. Think of the games you used to play in terms of exercise. Things like jump rop or tag, follow the leader, leap frong, hula hooping etc. And here are some other ideas. https://www.fitnessblender.com/videos/fitness-blender-kids-workout-25-minute-fun-workout-for-kids-at-home http://www.sheknows.com/health-and-wellness/articles/825727/5-exercises-kids-love http://www.babble.com/parenting/working-out-with-kids/ https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IpOfN8rDGNw

If you have a game console, get one of the dancing games. Great exercise and kids love to dance.

Try the playground - ours has high monkey bars and such that I can do (I'm 5'8") right beside some other climbing things my 5 year old can handle without needing a spotter.
Teach him to ride a bike- running along side of him is going to be a workout, and then you could do some bike rides together in a safe area. (Our playground has a mile long asphalt walking/multipurpose track that would be great for this).
Jumping jacks, burpees, somersaults, and running are all things little kids think are fun. Adults...not so much.
Don't forget to ask him for some ideas, too. You might be surprised to find out how hard those "little kid" things are.

My 5yr old loves, and i mean LOVES exercise!!

I have vid footage of him, literally off the cuff deciding he was going to do 1 arm press ups!!

If i'm going for a run, he'll jump on his bike and come with me.

I have taken him on 5km runs (becomes a bit of a run/walk for him) before, he usually gets round in around 48 minutes, which is comparable to many adult beginners. He really wants to run a proper race so he can get a medal, so i've entered him into a 1km kids race at the end of this month.

I am sure he will copy whatever it is you do.

My two year old frequently copies me. Sit ups, push ups, squats, everything. His burpees look pretty silly still, but he loves it, and his form is amazing. His Dr was fine with me letting him have a pair of 1/2lb dumbbells, which I let him have so he would stop trying to steal the much heavier ones. He has also been learning to count by counting reps with me.
