I can't imagine myself thin...is that a problem?

I really can't. I don't mean i am unmotivated, I just have no idea what it would be like to be thin and how it would affect my life and the way i dress / feel about myself

How has it changed you?

I don't think it's a problem to not be able to picture yourself thin. In fact, that may be healthier, as it's tough to tell how your shape will change; you won't get stuck on some possibly unattainable goal that way.

While it's definitely great to look better, it's even more rewarding to have more energy and confidence!

I would think that as you get closer to your goal, it will become more of a reality to you, and when you start to see definition, your collarbones, whatever, you'll start thinking it...

I feel the same way...I guess because I have never been "thin" so it is really hard for me to picture myself that way. You know I look at those people on the biggest loser and it is like they have went through a total transformation surgery and all but they haven't. I just sit with my mouth open when I see the befores and after and I cant wait to see my "after"....bc I am tried of looking at my "before".

I understand where you're coming from. I can't imagine myself at my goal either. I don't think theres anything wrong with that, as long as it doesn't discourage you or keep you from being motivated to stay on track. Like a poster said above me, its kind of hard to image what your shape would be like once you reach your goal.

I understand where you are - I think I may even be a little bit worse!

I cant imagine myself smaller than I am now! I honestly think i'm never going to get to target weight, but after speaking with my hubby, we decided it was a confidence thing.

We just keep working at it and we will change.

It is definitely not a problem to not have any idea what you will look like as a thinner person. That is truly "living in the now," which is an awesome way to be!!!

The biggest effect of the weight loss so far for me is how running is getting easier. When I started it was more like a waddle for a few yards, then walking until the end of the effort, feeling like the running thing was gonna be impossible. But I stuck with it. Now I can put in a 5K without stopping in about 30 minutes. And this is over a 75 day effort. I have no allusions or daydreams as to what kind of runner I will become, just as you cannot fathom what you will look like as a thin person. But I will definitely take living in the now on running, though, and I am quite happy to just be where I am!

Think of it as a present. All wrapped up and waiting for you to open. The excitement is the biggest part. You will be amazed and it will change the way you dress/think. Accomplishment - Victory!
