Pilates anyone?

I'm new here at myfitnesspal. I got the Pilates on the (stability) Ball workout video earlier in the year. I had been doing it very sporadically, but am going to try to do it 3 times a week going forward. I can see a noticeable difference in the way my clothes fit around my middle when I do, but I have "motivational issues" even still.

Hi there!
Im a die hard Pilates fan
I started doing Pilates at the start of the year, and found it amazing! I have 2 of the Marie Windsor DVDs, the 45min Accelerated workout, and the 20min one. They're both really good, one for if you have more time and the 20min for shorter workouts. I know them so well I dont need the DVDs anymore.. just sometimes for a refresh.
I find when I go to the gym the 20min one hadsthe perfect set of exercises to finish with
A good tip I have is tif use the DVDs, also try and go to a few Pilates classes with a trainer who can give you some one on one advice.. its totally useless if you don't uderstand the proper techniques.
I (luckily) managed a decent one hour session with only a couple of others at my gym because everyone else bailed (teehee!) and it was amazing!
How is it with the stability ball? Ive never tried pilates with a ball..?0 -
The ball works those core muscles even more because those are the muscles you use to keep you stable on the ball. And I think understanding the techniques that Pilates uses is easier to grasp for this very reason. I would love to go to a class, but my work schedule doesn't allow it at this time. So onward I trod...:ohwell:0

Oh, and the DVD I use is On the Ball Pilates Workout by Lizbeth Garcia. I'm using the beginner level. She gives good breathing cues and posture cues, I think anyway.0
