Hi! I would do an activity like going for a walk, painting your nails, checking email, calling up a friend, reading a book, play with a dog, clean a room, watch tv, get your hair done, get a massage, spend time with God, go shopping, working out etc etc. Try something new or fun.

While I have tried this and at first it seems like a good idea, the only problem is that chewing sends signals to your stomach, gallbladder, pancreas and liver to turn on production of bile, renin, and actin, therefore preparing your digestive tract to breakdown the bolus and chyme that never appears because you don't swallow the gum. This buildup can cause damage to the inside of your digestive tract even though you have a mucous membrane to protect your stomach from "eating itself".

Thanks for advice I'll try the dried fruit and nuts I'm usually not bad during the day it's after kids go to bed and I sit and relax I know that's the worst time to munch
