Yes, spanx work for creating a certain silhouette. No, they are not remotely comfortable!

Can only wear Spanx for 2-3 hours before they become uncomfortable and I can't wait to take it off.

I have no problem wearing Spanx and they are comfortable. The best advice I have been given with regards to foundations are to wear your actual size, not the size your "think or want" to be.

Plus when you wear the proper size, they do not roll down or cut.

I rely on Spanx, tbh. I wear a size that's appropriate for my height and weight (as opposed to too small to hold more in). While it does feel like stuffing a sausage casing when putting them on, I love the way it looks once they are on and I wear them all day at work with no troubles. I like the practically-full-body ones that go from mid thigh up to under my bra. In the summer, they do up the heat level a bit, but I'm inside most of the day so I just deal with it for the walks to the bus, etc.

After I had my daughter I wore spanx daily, I felt like they were comfortable.

I took measurements of myself without spanx, with normal undergarments, with spanx, with spanx after an hour. i could find no difference in my measurements. The only benefit of spanks is no panty lines or waistband lines when wearing a tight dress.

Spanx I don't know about really. Ive never really been into "shapewear" because I always felt like whatever it was that I was trying to suck in came out elsewhere.

Either way, I HAVE tried spanx leggings. They are super expensive but make you look so good (the ones I have are high waisted and suck me in through the tummy and the thigh/butt area without being uncomfortable) they feel like leggings in a heavier material and I love to wear them with sweater dresses or longer shirts.

Try body wrap. I wear mine in dresses and it lifts my bum and holds in my tum. Totally comfy too.

I wore them all day every day when I was at my highest weight and ashamed of how big I had gotten. If sized properly, they aren't too bad.

I like shapewear. It definitely works, but I only wear it on special occasions or with more body hugging styles. I don't think I could wear it every single day.

I've worn spanx in the past to smooth a line and hate them. #teamwearlooserclothes

Spanx brand anything are quite comfortable. I used to wear them. I bought my size not a size or 2 smaller. Best under pinnings around and breathable
