Go to Whole30.com It's all about eating real, unprocessed foods. I just started on Monday and I feel great! You can find recipes and exactly what to shop for ...and what not too ;-)

The MFP e-newsletter send recipes a few times a week. https://blog.myfitnesspal.com/
If you want to start using less mainstream ingredients, try the Whole Foods newsletter. http://www.wholefoodsmarket.com

First step, put your current weight and goals in to MFP and have it calculate your daily calorie target. I suggest a goal loss of one to 1 1/2 pounds a week.

Second, get used to logging all your food, as you currently eat, in to MFP.

Look at the nutrition information from your typical day and see if there is something obvious that needs changing.

If you stay at the calorie goal offered by MFP, you will lose weight.

You can always request adds, not everybody will add though. But about 1/2 the people on here are willing to add and help. The other half just tell you you're a great candidate for a recomp and need to pick up heavy things.

I find food choices are highly individual. You don't want to follow what I eat daily. Maybe I went on a big run yesterday and I'm seriously hungry today. I think it is wiser to learn to listen to your own body and what it is asking for.

I eat 1200 nutrient-dense calories and have really kept things simple so that I have time to exercise almost daily (busy with work and family). Elaborate meals used to take up that time... I have lost 18 and have ~25 more to go. Feel free to add me- my diary is open to friends.
