Weightlifting burns calories

I do not understand why there are no calories subtracted from the exercise log. I am pretty sure lifting weights burns calories.......

    It does, it's just harder to figure out. I use the strength training in cardio section.

    but is that accurate? Its the hard part for me about how to eat when strength training. If I cant track or know what I burn how can I be above/below maintenance.

    No....most people eat back about 50% of it or you could do the TDEE method and the exercise is already added to it.
