I am not much of a constant status commenter so I am probably not the best motivator but I lost 100lbs after having my last baby so I have a few tips.

    1. You will be tired. Embrace it, push through it, you are stronger than you think.
    2. Food will not make you less tired at this moment, but the right food can increase your energy in the long run so focus on protein, slow carbs, and fresh veggies. Drink lots and lots of water, especially if you are breast feeding still.
    3. Don't drink your calories (Starbucks only seems like your friend)
    4. Find a gym with a good daycare. I didn't have a gym when I lost my weight but if I had it to do again I would join a gym just for the daycare. I now go to Fitness Works and they have 2hr daycare for $15 a month. 2hrs of me time 5 days a week for $15 a month is a steal. I almost have my sanity back.
    5. Plan Plan Plan. You know you will be too tired to cook every night so instead of planning to eat out and ruin your diet, cook twice as much a couple times a week and freeze it. It doesn't take much more effort but it will be there if you have a really bad day.
    6. Rid the house of the easy to grab, bad for you items. You will be tired and they will be tempting but if they are not there you cannot grab them.
    7. Don't tell everyone you are trying to lose. For some reason women like to sabotage new moms trying to lose weight. You will complain about being tired and hungry and they will show up with muffins. You will talk about needing to go work out and they will tell you to not be so hard on yourself. You will start losing weight and they will say things like "You have lost enough just focus on your baby for now". You don't need the trouble.

    Good Luck

    Best general advise
    1. Eat less than you burn. Everything counts so count everything.
    2. Move. Don't sit still even if you are tired
    3. Don't quit, don't cheat, don't depend on other people noticing, don't depend on the scale reflecting your efforts every day.

You and me both, OP. I just posted my introduction -- and we're on the same boat. My son is now 2 1/2 years old, and I nursed him till he was 2. I put on some weight, as I justified the need for calories so I can nurse longer. Now I'm beginning this journey with you to lose our baby weight. I'm sorry I have no advice for you now; but hope I can motivate you by saying... we can do this!

Had my daughter a year ago and I have 10lbs to go. I lost a lot of weight the first two months then hit a plateau until recently. I'm motivated to get back into my clothes! Good luck, we can do this.

You can do it!! My 4th baby was born January 1st, I gained 45 pounds during pregnancy. I finally dropped all the baby weight a few weeks ago and am down a few more pounds since then. I just forced myself to work-out everyday even though I was tired, and I almost never go over my calories for the day. I eat chocolate everyday because I love it and I would quit if I didn't get to eat it! I try to include my baby/kids by going for hikes with them or dancing with them. I'm happy with how quickly I was able to lose the weight!
