Today I decided I need/want to lose weight. I've always known I needed to but my boyfriend told me yesterday I would look prettier if I lost some weight and that really got to me. So this is for me to prove to him and myself I can do it. Only problem is I always give up. I get all this energy to do it and then I just give up...

Best way to lose a 100 plus pounds is to first dump that boyfriend of yours, 2nd if you want to be healthier that comes with losing weight and it's all about lifestyle not diet. Diets don't work, you need to have supportive people around you, you are beautiful just the way you are! You can add me if you would like. I have changed the way I think, cook and shop for food and am a lot more active.0

Well, I suppose that's one way to motivate someone... The way I motivate myself is that I don't want to go back to being a guy in his twenties who has to stop and catch his breath after walking up a flight of stairs or a quick walk. Set a goal you know you can reach, but is slightly out of your reach at this point. For me, that was completing a half marathon, but I couldn't do that weighing 116kg and that out of shape. I found mapping my runs and trying to beat my own records helped me tremendously with motivation, but I will probably never get to the point where I look forward to starting. It's fun as soon as I begin, but the motivation to actually go outside and run is difficult to change. Watching my weight drop wasn't half as much fun as finding out what I'm capable of doing if I put my mind to it though. If I can do it, you can!
Good luck with your weight loss!

I totally was thinking that!!! I see your profile pic and you are beautiful. And, as far as he goes, it doesn't matter how much weight he will ever gain or lose or how much he can lift in the gym, he will ALWAYS be an @sshole. Perhaps you will look prettier when he isn't looking at youFind goals and aspirations you want for yourself. Please don't bother proving anything to him.... you already know his opinion. What is there to prove?

Thanks you guys and I completely understand what you are saying and I did let him know he was in the wrong. I am hoping I'm able to get down at least to start with losing 20. Just have to keep going and know I can do it0

Am I the only one who would want a partner to tell me if I was getting fat rather than let me continue in a bad direction?
Although the way he said it was atrocious.0 -
@Alyhuggan I told him I didn't mind him telling me I needed to lose weight that wasn't the problem it was the way he said it that made me feel a certain type of way0
