Feel good factor - tracking positive efforts beyond diet and exercise

Ok, maybe I sound a bit odd, I really didn't know how to title this :D

For some people on MFP, like me, weight loss is only one factor in overall change or progress.

I have a baby and a toddler and since I got pregnant with my first I have never quite looked after myself like I used to. I am active and I'm tracking to lose baby weight and some extra I had pre-toddler. So far so good, halfway to goal and feeling stronger :)

    Oops

So! I have been neglecting my hair, my skin, my nails... other little things like wanting a new pair of earrings since forever yet never buying them. It's not about cost, just a little time spent on myself.

I'm good at doing it for about a week and then I lose focus. So I've decided to track the little positive things in MFP for accountability, to remind myself to do it. I'm creating a couple of zero cal entries (don't worry, just for me, not for the food glossary!), things like Daily Facial Treatment, Face Mask, Paint Nails, Hair Treatment... etc. It could work for anything, like 1 Hour Reading, eg, as well.

I know this wouldn't be for everyone but I figured tracking cals and exercise has been so useful, maybe this will be another way of reminding myself to do these little things. Because this way I will feel better about myself all over

Just thought I'd share, might be a useful idea to others who hadn't had the same thought!

What a lovely idea! Well done to you for doing something about feeling positive overall :-)
I'm on a fatigue management programme from my physiotherapist and occupational therapist, and have to find a "fun" thing to do every day for 30 minutes. I think I'm going to borrow your ideas and use that time to pamper myself a bit (it's been a while since I thought of anything as "fun", and just as long since I've looked after myself, so I've been a bit stumped!)

Thank you for sharing this and inspiring me.

Yay! I'm glad it has inspired

As an aside, I like your name! I am also curly and occasionally cockney (my accent has become mangled over the years!).

Ok this is my first time trying to add a photo so apologies if it doesn't work right! I thought a picture might explain better

Getting my running mojo back. So much of it is mental.

It worked for me today! I had forgotten about it already but logged in and saw my Feel Good category, so I took 10mins for me  Hopefully it will be a long term reminder!
