hey!
I'm a married momma of 2 boys! I'm 209, SW was 243. I'm attempting to lose 100lbs. I signed up for a 1/2m in September and I'm trying to lose weight through running.
Looking for active, motivated friends to keep me going! Other runners would be great!

It's hard to get moving for sure but once you get a routine it will not be so bad

There's lots of ways to train for a half!! Do it slowly! And just know, no matter what you'll finish!

Thanks! I'm following a training plan I found online. It's a 12wk plan but I've given myself 20 so I can repeat hard weeks and slow down when I need to.
So far I can run 4miles without stopping, my pace is right around an 11min mile but I'm OK with that for this one. Maybe some day I'll be much faster! :)

Awesome. To make certain I completed my first half I found a pace of 10 was perfect for me. I could keep a conversation going, complete in just over 2 hours, and not be dead for the rest of the day. So a pace of 11 is fine. Set your goal at finishing ad don't worry about speed right now.

I did give myself almost a year to train as I wanted the weight off first. Its easier for me to run 13 miles when I carry less baggage!
