I did so well for 4 months and I don't know what happened. I just stopped trying. I am having a hard time getting back on the plan. I was not hungry or unhappy about dieting and I can't understand this. Has this happened to anyone else?

Absolutely, except I managed to screw up over a year of good eating and working out. I gained back the 35 pounds I lost and feel miserable. What's frustrating is that I thought I'd finally gotten this "change of lifestyle" thing down and that the weight would stay off for good. I am so disappointed in myself. However, I think we just need to begin again and re-evaluate why we started this journey in the first place. Sorry I don't have better advice for you. I just want you to know I feel the same way and share the same struggle.

I actually quit using MFP over a year ago because I felt too much pressure in counting every single calorie I ate. Well, fast forward to now and I put on 20lbs since then. I'm trying to take this one day at a time and focus on small lifestyle changes as opposed to losing the weight in a designated amount of time. It's just really hard trying to stay positive and push myself to exercise more to help with the progress.

You are not alone. I still have times where I struggle to keep enthused. I was on MFP for a year and then slipped off and just could not get myself going again. At the point my trousers became tight again it spurred me into action. Starting from the beginning though was difficult. MFP friends will help.

Yep! What happens is you start feeling really good about yourself, so you feel 'free' and stop paying attention to your food and exercise. Unfortunately, something we have to do for the rest of our lives is log, eat strictly, think about every bite we eat, and every drink. It IS easier if it's a routine, but you have to begrudgingly keep it up. How boring right? But then again, we can get off the stupid up/down merry go round if we do. :)

I get this all the time, something in life happens and I seem to forget about it, then regret it afterwards. Decided that this time I need to put myself first for a while so hopefully no 'forgetting'
Good luck this time around! :D
