Strava sync question

Why is it that when my run that is recorded on strava syncs to MFP, it says 'running in place'? Not sure how to change this. It doesn't pick up the distance I ran?

I beleive it is because of the pace. If ou look through your feed at other users running with Strava it will list their pace (so and so ran for 56 minutes at 9:30/mile or something like that). If you look in the exercises in MFP there is no running pace slower than 11.5 min/mile (if I recall correctly). So if you run 12 min/mile or slower, it picks the next slowest pace that is "running" which is "running in place".

I always wind up getting "running in place" too from Strava. At least I get some interesting comments on my long runs. People flip out when they think I ran in place for 3 hours!

Ok then! I will have to make sure I start improving my pace....I am a slow and steady runner ...emphasis on the slow!

Do you have the GPS turned off for the app? If so, it is only recording time.

It doesn't say that anymore...I am running a faster pace!
