I graduate college September 17th .... almost there! I will be celebrating by going out for drinks & dancing with friends & family as well as maybe having a picnic with everyone. There is this really awesome dress I put on my wish list on Amazon that I want to get BUT it only comes in certain sizes & of course my size is not on there. I figure if I loose 30-40 more lbs I can definitely fit into it.

Do you think its possible to loose 30-40lbs by September? My night out & picnic is 16 weeks away. The only thing I want as a graduation gift is to buy this dress!

I am going to try super hard to reach this goal & even if I dont, I will be proud of myself either way knowing I worked towards something. I know its going to take alot of hard work & determination. I am a big fan of ice cream & home made nachos, so cutting out junk is going to be hard but MUST be done! I have a gym membership so im planning on going 5-6 days a week like I used to.

The dress comes in sizes 4-14 ... right now I am a size18. It comes in different colors & it can be worn with straps or without. And it sits right above the knees which to me is taking a risk because since gaining weight my legs have become think as well so im hoping my legs will thin out once the weight is lost.

Possible- since it is 16 weeks away, so that would be about 2 pounds per week, or a little bit more to reach the 40. It's a big goal, but there's nothing like something concrete like that to motivate you! Good luck!

it is possible, but i worry that it will be super hard to meet, and you might feel disappointed in yourself if you dont make it!

having said that if you are willing to work super super hard, go for it, good luck!

Yep - at 2 pounds a week - that is 32 pounds. You'll have to have pretty much everyday be perfect, but it's doable! I'm in a bit shorter of a challenge myself right now. Leave in 5.5 weeks for vacation - I'm determined to lose at least 11 pounds by then!!

That is 2 lbs/week minimum. A little aggressive for a 16 week stretch, but not impossible. Be focused and you could get there.

    Good luck!

I say buy the dress as a graduation gift to yourself, you've earned it. Hang it up in a place where you can see it everyday and it will great for motivation.

I think if you focus on inches and body composition versus the scale you could reach your real goal of fitting into that dress. The biggest factor is your diet, eat your veggies, fruits, lean protein, walnuts/almonds, lowfat/nonfat dairy, some whole grains and lots and lots of water!!

If you cut way back on processed foods, you can do this! Also....cardio and resistance training! Start doing some squats and lunges!

Does frozen meals like Leah Cusine & Smartones count as processed foods? I usually have one for lunch everyday. I always make sure though im under my sodium intake.
