The calories on MFP just don't seem right,
Ride 30 minutes to 1 hr swimming session then ride back MFP says 1450 calories

MFP's burns are really wrong. Either use a HRM or online calculator that takes into account age, weight, height and effort. Can't link to one. I'm on mobile.

Generally, no. The walking and running algorithms are pretty accurate, but the consensus seems to be that all other exercise burn calculations are significantly overstated.

The most common advice I've seen is to "eat back" 50% of the MFP estimate.

You may have significantly overstated your paces.

For sixty minutes of hard cycling and a decent swim workout I wouldn't see that as particularly high.

^This. A lot of thing in MFP database are based on "effort" and what effort means, is up to the person doing the logging. You can cycle at 15 km/hr or at 35 km/hr. You can swim at a relaxed pace taking 5 minute breaks between laps, you can swim laps with no intervals at the fastest possible speed. You can swim 100 m at 1 minute or at 10 minutes. Since for both cycling and swimming you can find calculators based on distance and weight, you can cross check and if MFP estimations are way off, then you can chamge your entries.
